• Becoming Jane is a 2007 film from Miramax. Based on the life of Jane Austen, the film portrays the "untold" love story between Austen and Irishman Thomas Lefroy. Austen was known for penning love stories. The film Becoming Jane is the the story of her own unrequited love. She meets Lefroy when are both begining their careers. They fall in love, but his family does not approve of her. Ultimately she must make the choice to follow her heart and join Lefroy risking that her and his family will become poor, or take a more conventional route and accept the proposal of a man her father approves of.
