Eight young people from Bridgend, in Wales, died of apparent suicide in the year prior to January, 2008. The most recent, Natasha Randall, age 19, had posted a message on the social networking site, Bebo, in tribute to one of the prior seven young men who had apparently committed suicide, all of whom were also reportedly Bembo users. Investigations are ongoing as to whether the suicides are copycat incidents, and into the role, if any, that Bebo might have played in causing them.
