Delaware's Attorney General Joseph R. "Beau" Biden is the eldest son of Vice President Joe Biden. His mother was Neilia Hunter, Joe Biden's first wife, who died in a car crash in 1972. Biden also serves in the Delaware National Guard.
January 25, 2010 Delaware Attorney and General Beau Biden made a public statement that he would not mount a challenge for the U.S. Senate this year. Biden is currently prosecuting Earl Bradley, a pediatrician who is charged with 32 counts of sexually abusing his patients. Deployment to Iraq
On October 3, 2008, Beau Biden's National Guard unit began training at Fort Bliss, in Texas. His unit, the 261st Signal Brigade, left Texas and headed for Iraq on November 20, 2008. While in Iraq, Biden will be an assistant Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer.
