  • Delaware's Attorney General Joseph R. "Beau" Biden is the eldest son of Vice President Joe Biden. His mother was Neilia Hunter, Joe Biden's first wife, who died in a car crash in 1972. Biden also serves in the Delaware National Guard. In October 2008, he set out for training camp in Fort Bliss, Texas.     On October 3, 2008, Beau Biden's National Guard unit began training at Fort Bliss, in Texas. His unit, the 261st Signal Brigade, left Texas and headed for Iraq on November 20, 2008. While in Iraq, Biden will be an assistant Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer.
