Bean dip is a traditional Mexican dip consisting of cooked, mashed beans that are combined with garlic and other spices. Adding sour cream will result in a smoother texture. Bean dip can be topped with grated cheese and served with tortilla chips.

Easy Bean Dip
- 1 can refried beans
- 1/4 cup sour cream or to taste
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Combine refried beans, salsa, garlic, salt, and sour cream in a bowl, refrigerate and serve cold with tortilla chips.
- Note: There are many variations to this dish such as adding jalapeños for extra heat. For a chunky dip add diced tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, scallions or onions.
