Be Your Own Pet is a garage rock band based in Tennessee that was formed in 2003. Their music features heavy guitars and fast, aggressive rhythms which are matched by lead singer Jemina Abegg Pearl's half-singing, half-shouting vocals. The band's energy both on recording and on stage, particularly in the case of their lead singer, have garnered them comparisons to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
