The 2009 BCS Championship game began at 8:00 p.m. EST on January 8, 2009, in Miami, Florida. The Florida Sooners defeated the Oklahoma Sooners with a score of 24-14. Each team was led by a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback, with 2007 winner Tim Tebow for the Gators and 2008 winner Sam Bradford for the Sooners.
