The BCS Championship Game determines the college football national champion. The title game for the 2009 season will be held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, on January 7, 2010.

In the 2008 title game, the LSU Tigers defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes 38-24.

BCS Formula
In the current BCS ranking formula, each week, the Harris Interactive College Football Poll and USA Today Coaches Poll are averaged with six computer rankings to determine the top 25 teams. -
BCS Title Game
After the final BCS rankings are released at the end of the college football season, the top two teams are invited to the BCS Championship Game. The championship game is rotated between four locations each year. These include the Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl and Sugar Bowl. -
