Baylor University is a private Baptist institution of higher learning located in Waco, Texas. Its sports teams belong to the Big 12 Conference.
Baylor University Founders
The Republic of Texas chartered a Baptist university in 1845, which established Baylor University. The three founding fathers of the school were Reverend William Milton Tryon, Judge R.E.B. Baylor and Reverend James Huckins.
