The demo version of the game does not utilize the party system, however the full version of Bad Company does. You can have have 12 against 12 players on the battlefield. To enter the party system, and then go into custom games. After that you can invite people into your squad. The demo version of the party system was very poor as you always end up hosting. The party system for the full version of the game has confused several people as they are having difficulties inviting more than one person on their squad. There has also been complaints that mic communication is limited to only your squad. There is no squad-to-squad communication system available.
