Battle Forge is an online card-based RTS (Real-Time Strategy) PC game developed by EA Phenomic that includes trading card game elements. While only playable online, it does include single-player campaigns. Initially free to play, extra cards may be purchased to increase your army's power.Official Site: Battle Forge
The Cards
Although Battle Forge isn't a standard trading card game, players can buy, sell and trade cards to help their armies during the game. Cards are troops, battle constructs or spells that help you in your battles. Players can auction off cards for in-game currency, buy cards online and trade them with friends. There are about 200 cards available at the launch of the game, and they're fairly balanced between the powers.Official Site: Battle Forge
The Powers
There are four separate powers in this game. Each power represents a different strategy, and provides different kinds of abilities. The powers can be combined, and some strategies harmonize better than others. The four powers are:
- Nature - Control
- Frost - Defense
- Shadow - Risk
- Fire - AggressiveOfficial Site: Battle Forge
