Battalion Wars 2 is a real-time strategy game on the Nintendo Wii. It's the sequel to Battalion Wars on the GameCube and another installment to the Advance Wars series.
Story
The story includes six different factions, the three major factions are:
- Solar Empire - Japan
- Anglo Isles - Britain
- Xylvanians
The Xylvanians pit the two nations against each together by telling one nation to build a super weapon. This distracts the rest of the world from the Xylvanian's plans to create their own super weapon. There are six different campaigns and players will experience the conflicts as different nations.1
Gameplay
Like Battalion Wars, Battalion Wars 2 allows players to control various squads and even individual soldiers. Soldiers and vehicles are moved with the analog stick while players can selection different factions with the D-pad.2 The only movement command players can dispatch to units is "follow". Players can now also control various naval units such as:
- Battleship
- Frigates
- Submarines
- Dreadnoughts
- Transport ships
Battalion Wars 2 also features online play where players can choose either co-op or battle mode. These modes are accessible only after the six campaigns have been completed.
