Bassinets

A bassinet is a small bed intended to provide a comforting place for babies birth to four months to rest and sleep. There are several types of bassinets, many with features that rock, move on rollers, play music or vibrate. Some newborns enjoy the comforts of a smaller, cocoon-style feeling that a bassinet gives, unlike the larger and less comforting crib. Mattresses placed in a bassinet should be as firm as possible, this reduces the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS.

Safety Warning

Bassinets are no longer safe once a baby can roll over. Please monitor your baby carefully.
