Baskin-Robbins is a chain of ice cream restaurants that became one of the first to franchise their stores in the 1940s.
As part of the company's annual promotion, Baskin-Robbins is offering per-scoop prices of 31 cents on April 29, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time. Traditions
Their signature number, 31, was introduced to reference the fact that Baskin Robbins offered an ice cream flavor for every day of the month. They were also one of the first ice cream establishments that allowed patrons to sample flavors before they decided. Additionally, Baskin-Robbins sells their trademark ice cream cakes.Key Dates
