The Building
The Basketball Hall of Fame was established in 1959, eventually leading to an actual building which opened to the public in 1968 in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 2002, the hall moved to a new $45 million, 80,000 square foot home. The latest building is far more technological and interactive than past iterations.Boston Globe: Basketball Hall in rebounding position (May 21, 2006)
