Bas Rutten a mixed martial arts fighter was born in the Netherlands. Rutten is currently the vice president of fighting operations for the International Fight League. It was back in 1976 when Rutten discovered his passion for mixed martial Arts. Rutten along with his brother snuck into a movie theater and watched Enter the Dragon. From that point on Rutten imitated Bruce Lee until his parents finally let him train in Tae Kwon Do. Unfortunately Rutten used his training on the streets, fighting other kids that bullied him. While living under her roof, Rutten's mother mother would not let him train anymore. Rutten moved out at the age of 20 and that is when he seriously started to train in mixed martial arts.
