Rebel, underachiever and devious juvenile delinquent Bart Simpson stars on The Simpsons animated TV show on FOX. Although he relishes terrorizing the other characters and is almost always in trouble, Bart Simpson is a lovable character who often shows his good-heartedness despite himself.

Bart Simpson started out life as a troublemaker, putting his mother through 53 hours of labor and setting Homer's tie on fire as his first act in the world. He is dubbed the "Devil's cabana boy" by his sister Lisa. In school he is sent to detention almost every day, forced to write amends on the blackboard: "I do not have power of attorney over first graders;" "I will not instigate revolution." He prank calls the local tavern regularly to ask for Oliver Clothesoff, Al Coholic or I.P. Freely. According to Time magazine, "The kid knows right from wrong; he just likes wrong better."
