On August 7, 2007, Barry Bonds of the San Francisco Giants hit career home run 756, surpassing Hank Aaron as Major League Baseball's all-time home run leader. The blast came in the 5th inning off of Washington Nationals pitcher Mike Bacsik. Baseball commissioner Bud Selig was not in attendance, but was represented by Baseball Hall of Famer Frank Robinson. Also in attendance to mark the historic occasion was Willie Mays, who is Bonds' godfather, and other family members.
