    On December 30, 2008, Baron Davis denied claims that he was seeking a trade from the Clippers back to his former team the Golden State Warriors. According to reports, Davis told former teammate Stephen Jackson that, "He wants to come back." Davis denied those claims stating, "No, I don't want out. I don't know what Stephen Jackson got from my conversation. That never came out of my mouth. I'm here. I'm here doing the same thing I did at Golden State. The first year I got to Golden State it was rough. It was a tough season. We were figuring each other out, figuring out the system. He attended Crossroads School in Santa Monica, where he established himself as one of the top high school prospects in the nation. He would eventually attend the University of California, Los Angeles after a highly publicized recruiting process.     Davis was selected with the third pick in the NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets where he would establish himself as an elite point guard in the league with two all-star appearances in 2002 and 2004. In 2005, Davis was traded to the Golden State Warriors for point guard Speedy Claxton and forward Dale Davis.
