Barney Bites Reporter

On November 6, 2008, President George Bush's dog, Barney, bit a reporter while being walked by his handler on the White House lawn. The bite broke the skin of Reuters television correspondent Jon Decker's right index finger. Decker, who was bitten while kneeling down to pet the Scottish terrier, was treated for his injury by presidential physician Dr. Richard Tubb. Barney reportedly has a history of biting, and has snapped at White House visitors in the past.CNN: First Dog takes a bite at White House reporter (November 6, 2008)
