Barefoot Contessa is a cooking show on the Food Network, hosted by lifestyle guru Ina Garten. The program is named after a home and cooking specialty shop she used own, which also was named after the Humphrey Bogart and Ava Gardner film. In each episode Gartner shows the audience how to make the "perfect" dish or create the "perfect" decor. Most programs end with Garten putting on a different themed dinner party, cocktail party, or meal with her close friends or husband Professor Jeffrey Garten.
Besides the television show Garten has a line of products (Barefoot Contessa Pantry), cookbooks, and writes several magazine columns.
