Barbro Holmberg is the mother of Elin Nordegren and mother-in-law of Tiger Woods. She was formerly the Minister for Migration and Asylum policy in Sweden's government. She has three children with former husband Thomas Nordegren, daughters Elin and Josefin Nordegren and son Axel Nordegren. She has two grandchildren (the children of Woods and Elin), Sam and Charlie. It has been reported that Holmberg was visiting her daughter, Elin, when she was taken to the hospital from Tiger Woods' Windermere, Florida home early in the morning of December 8, 2009. A call was received by Orange County Fire officials at 2:36 AM, and it has been reported that the patient originally refused to be taken to the hospital. WESH TV had reported that she was on advanced life support, but later reported that Holmberg was released just hours after being admitted.
