  • Barbados is an island nation in the Caribbean. The island is one of the better developed ones in the Caribbean and this helps make it one of the more popular spots for tourism in the area. This shows in the types of hotels and lodging that Barbados offers; many are well-known, high-end hotels. Like most resort areas, there is also a selection, if small, of lower-cost accommodations available.

    It doesn't get much better then having your hotel featured on the Travel + Leisure 500 list, as well as being exceptionally recommended by Frommer's; the Sandy Lane resort in Barbados is one of those hotels. This resort is claimed by many to be the most "premiere address" in the Caribbean. All the rooms are equipped with wide-screen, plasma televisions, full entertainment systems, large bathrooms and a private bar. Activities range from three golf courses to a full spa with a wide variety of treatment options. Sandy Lane is also family-oriented, offering a kids club, the Treehouse Club, that caters to children 3-12, as well as a "toddler corner" for ages up to three.

  • Affordable Hotels

    The Sea-U Guest House Hotel is a moderate, yet affordable choice to stay on the island of Barbados. Rates begin at around $100 USD and increase, depending on the season. Rooms in the main house are the cheapest, while the "studios" in the cottage are a bit pricier. All the rooms supply basic amenities, as well as wireless internet access. The location is quiet and away from the main resort area, letting guests "mingle" with locals and get a feel of real island life. In the hotel's restaurant, right next to the main building, guests can enjoy a complementary breakfast while sitting outside and experiencing the beautiful view and refreshing breeze.
