The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board had banned the sale of Cycles Gladiator Wines in the state of Alabama as the label features a replica of a 1895 French poster showing a nude woman on a bicycle. The board declared the label pornographic and ordered the removal from restaurants and retailers in late July of 2009.
Hahn Family Wines, which produces the wine, stated that it will continue to produce the variety, but discontinue distribution to Alabama.
