Bank of America Stadium is the home stadium for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. New Stadium Construction
Construction on the stadium began in 1993, and after three years and $248 million, the stadium opened as Ericsson Stadium for a game between the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons. Since the opening of Bank of America Stadium, there have been 21 teams moving into new stadiums, making it the 10th-oldest stadium in use in the league.
