Banjo-Tooie is the sequel to Banjo-Kazooie and takes place two years after Banjo-Kazooie. The game begins with a scene of Klungo attempting to remove the large rock on top of the Grunty, the villain from Banjo-Kazooie.

Story
The story concentrates on Banjo and Kazooie attempting to stop the resurrection of Gruntilda, the main villain from Banjo-Kazooie. The two must defeat Mingella and Blobbelda before Grunty comes back to life. -
Gameplay
The game is a platformer with several playable characters: Banjo, Kazooie, and Mumbo (the resident shaman). There are eight connected environments that include: jungles, coal mines, a factory building and more. There are over 25 hours of gameplay. There is also a multiplayer option that features four-player support and includes modes such as:- Shootout
- Kickball
- Bumper cars
- Jump through hoops mini-game.
