November 16, 2007: Around 1,700 people are thought to have been killed by a cyclone that hit the Bangladesh coast - Cyclone Sidr. Hundreds of thousands of people were evacuated or moved to safer ground before the storm hit the coast from the Bay of Bengal, levelling villages and uprooting trees. Many were left behind.
