  • Ballroom Dancing refers collectively to various social partner dances of Western origin that are pursued both socially and competitively worldwide. Although the term was originally applied to any social partner dancing in which the man "leads" the woman, the term ballroom dance is most often applied in modern times to a set of specific dances in the International Standard and International Latin styles.
