Bali is a perfect place for many watersports and other outdoor activities, shopping, spas, and enjoying the island's rich cultural heritage.
The most famous watersports in Bali is surfing, most notably in Kuta Beach, Bali. Kuta Beach often holds international surfing competition. Scuba diving is another popular watersports. Padi scuba diving is Bali's famous scuba diving school. Nusa Lembongan island near Bali is one of the popular scuba diving destinations in Bali. Another famous watersport in Bali is white water rafting.
Aside from beach, you can also enjoy Bali's beautiful nature. You can visit Bali Safari Marine Park as the island's national zoo to see animals which are native in Bali and Indonesia.
Most of the hotels in Bali offer the traditional Balinese spa service. Balinese spa uses traditional and natural herbs and ingredients for the scrubs and massage oils.
Balinese has rich cultural heritage which made the island named "Pulau Dewata" or Island of the Gods. It is also called an island with a thousand temples. Most Balinese are Hindus. Religion and rituals are part of everyday life. You can see Balinese cultural heritage by visiting the famous temples such as Pura Besakih, and Tanah Lot temple.
Another popular activity in Bali is shopping. Bali is famous for its handmade products and crafts, which includes wood crafts, stone carvings, sterling silver crafts, Balinese Batik, and paintings. In Bali, especially at Kuta Square and Seminyak, you will also find international brand boutiques. Niluh Djelantik is a Bali local shoes designer and brands whose shoes will be worn by Julia Roberts in her latest film Eat, Pray, and Love. -
