Guide Note
The Bahamas Hotels page is here to help find accommodations for people visiting the Bahamas. The Bahamas are a group of islands in the Caribbean, not far off the coast of Florida. Make sure to check out the affordable section on this page to find discounted hotels. Because of the "resort" stature that the islands maintain, most lodging is on the expensive side. There are no hostels and affordable room rates that start over $100 USD. -
Luxury Stay
If you want to stay in the Bahamas in luxury, the One&Only; Ocean Club on Paradise Island is the perfect stop on your journey. They have received some of the most prestigious ratings and reviews; they're a Travel + Leisure 500 winner, Frommer's exceptional rating, Fodor's choice and they are on the Conde Nast Traveler Gold List. The location is secluded and the feel is "exclusive." There really isn't much you can't do here. There is golf, tennis, a spa and a wide variety of water-sports to choose from. The large rooms are made for ultimate comfort, with king-sized beds and marble bathrooms. The One&Only; is a perfect place to bring that special someone on a romantic, but costly, retreat.Moderate Stay
One of the cheaper places to stay is the Greenwood Beach Resort on Cat Island, not far from Nassau. There are 16 rooms, most with ocean-views and some with air conditioning; all have there own bathroom, a private patio and large beds. Relaxation is definitely an option here; hammocks are available, as well as a fresh water pool and a serve-yourself bar.Mahalo Suggests
