Badlands

Badlands is loosely based on the real-life story of the mass murders executed by teenagers Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate.

After moving from Texas to South Dakota, Holly (played by Sissy Spacek) meets a James Dean look-alike named Kit (played by Martin Sheen). After falling in love, the two are forbidden to see each other by Holly's father. Deciding to risk love against the odds, the couple teams up to first kill Holly's father, which begins a killing spree as they are chased by law enforcement. In the end they are captured and Kit is given the death sentence while Holly is given probation.
