Scandal
The Backstreet Boys were the first band to file a lawsuit against their manager Lou Pearlman. They claimed their contract was unfair. Pearlman had been paying himself as a producer, as their manager, and a separate check to himself as the sixth member of the group. Perlman plead guilty to conspiracy, money laundering, and making false statements and was sentenced to 25 years of prison.
