A backpack is a large bag used to carry items on a person's back. Backpacks can be used for outdoor activities such as backpacking and camping. Backpacks are also commonly used among children and teens to carry books, school supplies and sports equipment. Many feature external compartments so smaller items can easily be accessed.
School backpack buying guide
Many children suffer under the stress of carrying around a heavy backpack for school. Choosing a supportive backpack won't decrease the amount of weight your kids carry, but it will help position the weight so its easier for them to carry it.
Generally the more straps a backpack has the better. Never get a single strap bag for your child to use for school. Two strapped bags are far better because they distribute the weight of the bag evenly across the shoulders. A waist strap is even better. It pulls the weight of the bag in close to the body so there is less stress on the shoulders. A chest strap will also do the same.
Don't get a bag bigger than your child's back. That will limit the amount of space and ultimately the weight her or she will carry.
Get padded shoulder straps and back for more comfort.
