Bachelor After the Rose

  • After the Final Rose is a follow-up episode to the season finale of The Bachelor. Normally the episode is a platform that reunites the bachelor with the woman he chose to be his wife. In a new twist, the 2009 season ended with Mesnick choosing a winner (Melissa Rycroft) during the finale, but then broke off the engagement on the "After The Rose" segment. When runner-up (Molly Malaney) appeared on the confrontation portion of the episode, Mesnick stunned her by stating that he was no longer with Rycroft and asked her for a second chance.

The finale aired for two hours prior to "After The Final Rose Part 1", on March 2, 2009. "After The Final Rose Part 2" aired March 3, 2009, and explains what happened to the various relationships after the disastrous break-up took place on the first part of the special.
