A six-month-old baby survived after his stroller rolled onto train tracks just as a train rushed into a Melbourne, Australia, train station on October 16, 2009. Surveillance video shows the stroller rolling off the platform and onto the tracks; the train hits the baby stroller seconds later as the infant's mother looks on in horror. According to reports, the baby sustained only minor injuries—a few cuts and scratches and "a bump to the head."http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/2009/10/16/2009-10-16_miracle_6monthold_boy_survives_after_stroller_plummets_into_path_of_oncoming_tra.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ4iLPLAsC0 http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/2009/10/16/2009-10-16_miracle_6monthold_boy_survives_after_stroller_plummets_into_path_of_oncoming_tra.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ4iLPLAsC0
The mother was identified as 29-year-old Shweta Verma of Melbourne, Australia. In a series of interviews in late-October of 2009, Verma recounts the terrifying experience, saying she'd released the brake on the pram and let go for "a fraction of a second" before it rolled onto the tracks.http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/article6890459.ece
