  • The Baby Monitor is a transmitter and receiver system used to allow a caregiver to hear or see a baby from another room or outside.
  • How it Works

The transmitter, which has the microphone is left with the baby while the receiver, which has the speaker, plays the sound of the baby or child from another room. Baby monitors can also be bi-directional, allowing the caregiver to talk to the baby.

Some monitors are also equipped with lights and vibration capabilities to further aid in alerting the caregiver of the baby's needs or potential problems.
