  • Baby Mama is a comedy film starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, that was released in theaters on April 25, 2008. Tina Fey plays "Kate Holbrook", the VP of an organic food supermarket chain. While Kate has been very successful with her professional life, her personal life has been suffering as a result. Kate decides she wants to have a baby, but when she discovers that she only has a one out of a million chance of conceiving, she turns to surrogacy. Kate goes to a surrogate agency run by "Chaffee Bicknell" (played by Sigourney Weaver and is introduced to "Angie" (Amy Poehler, a woman from South Philly whom Kate calls "white trash." Angie decides to have Kate's baby... but shenanigans ensue when Angie breaks up with her boyfriend (Dax Shepard) and moves in to Kate's apartment.

    As it turns out, Angie and her boyfriend are actually con artists, and Angie is just pretending to be pregnant. But as the relationship between Kate and Angie grows, Angie feels increasingly more and more guilty about her scam, and looks for a way to make things right.
