The BaBar Experiment is an international scientific research project that is based in California's Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. The project's goals are to investigate and compare the subatomic properties of matter and antimatter. The BaBar Experiment's name was inspired both by a scientific term which resembles the project's mascot, Babar the Elephant.
