B.o.B. grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where he began listening to Eminem and DMX early in his life. These artists became an inspiration for the young Bobby Ray and he began to start rapping. He wrote down everything he thought of, encouraged by an older brother, and started to fill up notebooks of lyrics. During junior high school, B.o.B. began a rap group called Klinic with his cousin.
