Ax Men is a 13-episode series on The History Channel that follows four separate logging crews over the course of a season in northwest Oregon's remote forests, revealing the hardships that are faced while engaging in one of the most dangerous jobs in history. The show also examines the history of the logging industry and examines the technology that has helped it to evolve even as the battle between man and nature remains unchanged. The loggers battle unpredictable terrain, the hazards of runaway logs and snapped cables, and the ravages of weather; all in order to retrieve the timber necessary to build our country.
