Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q features Sesame Street-like puppets, operated by onstage actors, singing about adult problems and situations including homosexuality, pornography and racism.
The show was created by composer and lyricists Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx. Since its transfer to Broadway in July 2003, the production has spawned a Las Vegas and West End production. It won the 2003 Tony Award for Best Musical and is the 28th longest running musical in Broadway history.
