Avengers Movie

The Avengers movie is the film version of the classic comic book, which features a team of superheroes from the Marvel Universe including Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and the Hulk.

The movies Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk featured scenes which sets up the Avengers movie. Robert Downey Jr. and Don Cheadle will reprise their roles as Tony Stark and James Rhodes from the Iron Man films. Jon Favreau will be the executive producer of film.

News surfaced in the middle of April, 2010 that Marvel Comics and Joss Whedon were in discussions about the Avengers Movie director position.http://www.deadline.com/2010/04/marvel-close-to-whedon-hire-on-the-avengers/ Marvel Comics is apparently looking to find a suitable director for the film and are considering Whedon, who previously worked on the hit television series, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. First word of the rumored negotiations came from the website deadline.com. They reported not only that the discussions were taking place, but also that the alleged discussions were nearing completion.http://www.deadline.com/2010/04/marvel-close-to-whedon-hire-on-the-avengers/ It is unknown at this time how long these "final negotiations" will last or whether Joss Whedon will officially be chosen as director for the upcoming Avengers film. The Avengers is scheduled to be released within May, 2012—possibly within the month's first week.
