  • Producers Rob Brown and Sean Booth make up the pioneering electronic music duo Autechre. While they're are hesitant to classify their sound, many critics credit the group with developing IDM (Intelligent Dance Music), a more cerebral and experimental form of electronic music which defies rhythmic convention.

    The duo uses a wide array of electronic equipment to create their music and has described their approach to music-making as "using new techniques on old equipment and old techniques on new equipment."

    The duo's earliest recordings were released under various aliases including "Lego Feet" and "Gescom." Since then, they've gone on to record 9 full-length albums and dozens of EPs and singles.
