Background
Barack Obama was born to Barack Hussein Obama Senior's American wife, after the elder Obama had traveled to the U.S. to study. The marriage was very brief and Obama returned to Kenya after studying a postgraduate course at Harvard.
Barack and Auma first met after the death of Obama senior. Young Obama wrote to Auma in Kenya and they eventually met Barack while he was working as a was a community activist in Chicago.
