• The Audi A8 is a full sized luxury car first introduced in 1994. The A8 is currently in it's second generation, which began in 2003. It is available with either a 4.2 liter V8 or a 6 liter 12 cyclinder engine. Also available is the high performance S8, which is powered by a 5.2 liter V10 that produces 450 HP. Competitors of the A8 include the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Lexus LS and Cadillac DTS.

• Consumer Guide Road Test

  • Consumer Guide gave the A8 an overall score of 81 out of 100 with high marks in front/rear comfort, ride quality, handling/braking and quietness. The A8 was given low marks for controls/gauges, fuel economy and cargo room.
