The Audi A1 compact will be available in Europe after the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show. The car features large tires, a single-frame front grill and smaller side windows. To lower manufacturing costs, the platform will have a semi-rigid rear axle rather than a multi-link and the body will be made from steel rather than aluminum.
