  • Atypical Moles, also called Atypical naevi or dysplastic nevi, are different than ordinary moles. They are irregular in shape and have borders with indistinct edges. Atypical moles range in size from 5-15mm and can have either a smooth or a bumpy surface. Their color can be brown, black or pinkish.DermNet NZ: Atypical Naevi
