Atreyu

Atreyu is a post hardcore band that took its name from the primary character in The Neverending Story. The band consists of Alex Varkataz the lead singer, Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel on guitar, Marc McKnight on bass guitar, and singer and drummer Brandon Saller.

• Travis Miguel: "Well the band started with Brandon, our drummer, our singer Alex and our other guitar player Dan. It started off as a street punk type of band. After a few lineup changes and switches in musical direction, it eventually evolved into what it is today. As far as being in other bands, I played in garage bands and played in friends bands but as far as anything worth talking about, this is it." Fourteeng.net
• Marc McKnight: "I actually started playing guitar in, like, 5th grade. I had an acoustic guitar because my parents refused to get me an electric one. I always liked Green Day and NoFx, stuff like that. Then one day on New Years Eve, my friend and his dad, and his little brother, they were playing this little show and asked me to play bass with them. They started playing Bush - "Little Things", and it was easy, just four chords the whole time. Then from that time on I've been playing bass." MetalUnderground.com
