  • Atlantis: The Lost Empire is Disney's 40th full-length animated film. Set in 1914, the film stars Michael J. Fox as the voice of Milo Thatch, an historian intent on finding the lost continent of Atlantis.

    Unlike many other Disney cartoon feature films, Atlantis: The Lost Empire does not include any musical numbers and was rated PG for animated violence.

  • Plot Summary

    Bookishly shy museum curator Milo Thatch is determined to carry on his grandfather's legacy and find the famed lost continent of Atlantis. His entreaties are repeatedly dismissed until he meets an old friend of his grandfather's who provides him with his grandfather's lost journal, a 1,000 foot submarine and a crew of highly qualified explorers and archaeologists who accompany Milo on the adventure of a lifetime.
