At least one person was killed, at least 17 others were injured when a pedestrian bridge collapsed at Atlanta's Botanical Garden on December 19, 2008. According to initial reports, the footbridge gave way as workers were pouring concrete for a new "Canopy Walk" attraction at the Garden.
